Services of the center

The center accepts proposals to translate texts from faculty members, based on the research priorities adopted by the university.

The center provides the following services:

     •  Encouraging faculty members at the KAU to translate books, references and research texts.

     •  Encouraging and supporting the Arabization movement.

     •  Preparing project plans to translate and arabize important books, resources and references.

     •  Obtaining permissions and translation licenses from international publishers that hold the intellectual property rights to the works being translated. The time it takes to gain permission varies depending on the publishers and the information presented to the center.

     •  Translating valuable books and research works from Arabic into other languages.

     •  Helping translators by providing consultation and supportive guidelines.

     •  Revising and editing translations to ensure their scientific and linguistic quality.

     •  Reviewing the translated works for precision in translation and recommending the revised versions to the KAU publisher for printing.
